Hygiena MicroSnap TVC Swabs (Step 1) Pk 100

The MicroSnap™ TVC swabs by Hygiene are a rapid test for detection of TVC  bacteria, no other lab equipment required except for Ensure Touch Luminometer and incubator capable of 37°C.

This TVC test uses a novel bioluminogenic test reaction that generates light when enzymes that are characteristic of viable bacteria react with specialized substrates to produce light.

The light generating signal is then quantified in the EnSURE & EnSURE Touch to give a result.

This product is the first step of a 2 step process which is a enrichment step.

Hygiena MicroSnap TVC is able to give results in the same day, depending on the level of detection required.

Detects Gram positive and Gram negative aerobic and facultative anaerobic bacteria including:

• E.coli
• Listeria
• Shigella
• Vibrio
• Bacillus
• Staphylococcus
• Pseudomonas

Step 1 - Enrichment process

Time required Qualitative Results CFU Counts  – Up to  7 hours

Process – simple to carry out and the environmental test is very similar to ATP testing.

Step 2 - Detection

MS2-TOTAL Hygiena™ MicroSnap TVC (Step 2) Pk 100

Simple process, no incubation required for this step.

Process – Transfer the enriched sample from step 1 into the detection swab for incubation, read results using Ensure & Ensure Touch Luminometers.
