The MicroSnap™ Enterobacteriaceae swabs by Hygiene are a rapid test for detection of Enterobacteriaceae species, no other lab equipment required except for a incubator capable of 37°C.
This Enterobacteriaceae test uses a novel bioluminogenic test reaction that generates light when enzymes that are characteristic of Enterobacteriaceae react with specialised substrates to produce light.
The light generating signal is then quantified in the EnSURE & EnSURE Touch to give a result.
This product is the second step of a 2 step process which is a detection step.
Hygiena MicroSnap Enterobacteriaceae is able to give results in the same day, depending on the level of detection required.
Process – Transfer the enriched sample from step 1 into the detection swab for incubation, read results using Ensure & Ensure Touch Luminometers.
