Hygiena Pro Clean Rapid Hygiene Monitoring Swab (Box of 25 or 100)

The Hygiena PRO-Clean rapid hygiene colour change swabs are a simple and effective method to accurately monitor the cleanliness of food equipment surfaces and ensure food safety and product quality.

The PRO-Clean swabs detect protein residues left on a surface. If the surface is contaminated, the regent will turn purple; the quicker and darker the purple, the more contaminated the surface. Using Hygiena Pro- clean swabs allow you to carry out further cleaning if necessary to decontaminate the surface, helping to make the surface safe to use. These swabs make an ideal solution to validate and confirm effective cleaning procedures.

Process:

• Swab a surface
• Release the reagent - snap & squeeze
• If protein is present the reagent will turn purple.

The change in colour provides a semi-quantitative measure of the surface cleanliness:

Sensitivity

• Detects 80 ?g protein after 1 minute
• Detects 50 ?g protein after 5 minutes
• Detects 20 ?g protein after 10 minutes
• Disregard any colour change after 10 minutes

The more contamination present, the quicker the colour change to purple and the darker the colour. Use these PRO-Clean swabs to quickly validate the hygiene of a surface, allowing immediate corrective action to be taken if necessary.

Shelf life: (From Manufacture Date)

• 18 months at refrigerated temperatures (2-8ºC) (typically delivered with 10-12 months shelf life)
• 4 weeks room temperature (21-25ºC)
